NBC’s Rock Center covers Narconon fraud tonight!

As previewed on its website, NBC is focusing a big chunk of tonight’s Rock Center with Brian Williams around three of Narconon’s deaths at its Arrowhead, OK facility.

“Defected” staff from Narconon will be interviewed about the fraud perpetrated on Oklahoma residents, parents, insurance companies, and legislators by Scientology Inc.

Narconon apparently figured out how to get huge chunks of money from insurance companies.

That story reminded me of little Davey Miscavige crowing at Int Events about how psychiatric facilities would keep a patient incarcerated until the day before his insurance ran out, and only on that day would the patient be pronounced “cured” and released back into society.

Apparently, the business of scamming insurance companies is not limited to just psychiatry. Scientology Inc knows a lucrative racket when it sees one.

The real challenges keying off tonight’s show will be finding out:

● How many Sea Org members will be RPF’d because of their incompetence and inability to get the story spiked?

● How many other media outlets will be intimidated into spiking their own follow-up stories? ABC? CBS? Uh…Fox News with Greta Van Susteren?

● Will Miscavige’s head explode before the night is done?

● Will the Oklahoma legislature’s anti-rehab-fraud bill be accelerated after tonight?

● Will the other legal actions pending against Narconon be accelerated as a result?

● Will Rock Center firmly establish (by using bootlegged Int Event video…hint, hint) that the Church of Scientology is really the force behind Narconon?

● Will the American public conclude and cognite that Narconon is actually nothing more than a PR arm of Scientology Inc and David Miscavige?

● Will the parishioners of Scientology Inc finally realize that a huge scam has been run on them for the past 35 years?

Inquiring minds want to know.

If they realize that a scam has been run on them; will they also realize that they become complicit
in it; if they continue to look the other way?

Here is what Software writer Joel Spolsky says about a different kind of racket; the patent protection scam:
“In the face of organized crime, civilized people don’t pay up. When you pay up, you’re funding the criminals, which makes you complicit in their next attacks. I know… you didn’t ask for this fight to be yours, but if you pay the trolls, giving them money and comfort to go after the next round of indie developers, you’re not just being “pragmatic,” you have actually gone over to the dark side. Sorry. Life is a bit hard sometimes, and sometimes you have to step up and fight fights that you never signed up for.”

My question is: “Will the parishioners of Scientology, Inc step up?”
