UK Channel 4 to cover disgruntled Scientologists’ gripes

poltergeist-carol-anneThis was stolen in substance from Mike Rinder’s blog, in the comments section of June 12’s post.

A heads-up to the Independent Scientology community. A documentary about Independent Scientology, “Scientologists At War,” is to be shown on Channel 4 (UK), 9pm 17 June 2013: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/scientologists-at-war/episode-guide/series-1/episode-1 http://www.channel4.com/programmes/scientologists-at-war

In their inimical style, Scientology Inc plants have been posting protest comments over on Channel 4’s forum located at: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/scientologists-at-war/episode-guide/series-1/episode-1

I loved this one:

I am not happy that programme is being aired. Firstly its title implies that this programme will be a one-sided account which will produce negatives about my religion without presenting the factual data. Your ex-Scientologist speak as just that apostates are known to always be in disagreement with the groups they leave so any news from then can be predicted. Scientology has helped me for over 30 years now. I have a very fulfilling life because of it and enables me to help others effectively using its principles. If you want the truth just visit a church or visit the website. sci link removed There you will see the work done world wide to provide unconditional help.

I love the A=A=A=A that says “If someone’s putting up bad news about the church, it can’t possibly be a fact”. Huh? Can you say idée fixe? How much more into the Kool-Aid can a cult member be?

I love the fact that this poster wholly admits to the fact that there are disgruntled Scientologists that Scientology Inc is openly at war with.

I love that, without seeing the show, the writer “knows” what the ex-Scientologists say and how it’s being said.

I love how the poster just knows that whatever Scientology Inc puts up on its website it the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Without actually looking at anything.

I love how the poster dubs in that it’s all unconditional help without looking at the poseur Miscavige’s posturing pretense façade in front of every piece of “good news” presented by the church.

If you’re in UK Channel 4’s service area and can get a digital recording of this piece, capture it an put it on YouTube.

And fire us a copy on WeTransfer.com.

We love having spare copies when the church solicitors convince YouTube to take down videos that make Scientology Inc look bad.

Right on!! Can’t wait to see this. Great point about them always defending their position without looking at the whole scenario. Also, the acknowledgement that the Co$ IS at war. :-) This gets better and better.

Check out YTD. It’s freeware that allows you to save and convert local copies of Youtube (and other sites) videos. Works really well if you have a broadband connection. Great for snagging a copy of a video before it gets taken down.

Last sentence reminds me of what I heard with regard to China’s look alike to Facebook – if something likely to be taken down appears, they left click and save, and send copies to all their friends :-) . It has become a joke. I take it You Tube is subject to USA law – on the question of freedom of speech it is a gradient and USA and China are on different places on the gradient.

All the best, Ant

First of all thank you for helping me wake up. The church of Scientology has helped divest me of every single dime I had. It’s no church any more. I’ve been stalked, harassed, intimidated and set upon. What church behaves like that just because I’m on the Internet, and I asked for my money back that’s on account? Gagging legal documents presented to me to sign to get my money back! No, I signed nothing and the church of Scientology can go to hell.thank goodness for the Internet! Thanks again.

WOW! This guy ain’t just drinking the Kool-Aid, he is swimming in a pool of it. Is he afraid to go PTS because someone makes fun of his religion. Come on, where is your faith dude?

After 30 years he has probably received lots of auditing and done the PTS/SP Course several times and still can not allow someone else to have their own opinion about “his religion”. How frail and fragile he must be to be driven insane by someone speaking their opinion on a TV show!

Christians don’t go PTS when you tell them you don’t believe in God. They allow you to be who you are.

Is this guy just so afraid of what the “church” will think if he watches this show and is allowed to see if he can agree with it?

Just imagine if every enterprise acted as the church and its devotees do, would that be insanity, or what? You could not mention the doctor who kills half his patients or the grocery store that short changes you every time you shop there. That is kinda nuts.

But I lived in that sect for a long time myself and bought the crap hook, line and sinker. It is only now that I have opened my eyes that I can see how blind I was.
