Finding your way after leaving the cult of Scientology

How can you tell when a Sea Org member is lying?

Answer: They are still breathing.

If you have been reading this blog for any amount of time, you may have gotten the idea that we do not believe Sea Org members or their supreme leader, Pope on a Box, David Miscavige.

That is quite true. We used to have dear friends in the cult and I have an ex who is still drinking the Kool-Aid, but the vast majority of them are not the splendid examples of high purpose and personal integrity they used to be.

There has been an incredible degradation in the ethics level and honesty of all Scientology staff and most of the public who are still supporting cult actions.

Yesterday I received a letter that may be of interest to those of you who are asking for repayment of unused money on account. Flag Service Org Chaplain Sharon Forsher claims that such accounts do not exist!

For 35 years I have been regged to put money on account at various orgs and now we are told that such accounts do not exist?

Those of you who are being regged for another service now have another excuse not to open  your checkbook.

These are people whose original goal was to help bring sanity to the planet and on the way to that goal, they were seduced into criminal behavior you would not wish on your worst enemy.

They have drills that enable them to lie without hesitation and to avoid answering direct questions. They will look you straight in the eye and make promises that they have no intention to keep.

I had a former OT course supervisor write me and tell me she had read all of the reports I quoted about Miscavige brutality and she assured me that she had personal knowledge that none of this was true. What a disappointment!

What I didn’t know at the time was that she was an executive on the Freewinds and was covering up the imprisonment of staff on the ship which had been going on for years!

Those of you who have been to the Freewinds in the past eight years, how did you miss those who were imprisoned below decks? How could their misery not have tainted the incredibly clean OT space where you were supposed to go free? Every staff member you saw on the ship was hiding that guilty secret. Talk about missed withholds! Getting auditing on the ship makes as much sense as bathing in sewage to get clean.

The sooner these guys leave the cult and get their withholds off the better off they will be.

Is the person requesting return of money allowed to bring a lawyer to the meeting?

OldAuditor  on February 20th, 2012

I am not sure what meeting you refer to but I am sure that would freak out your Chaplain or whoever you are talking to about your repayment.

It would do no harm to say that your lawyer would like to be present for any meeting you have to discuss your repayment. They will probably tell you that such action is forbidden and you should say where does this amazing statement appear in LRH policy?

You should always act as if you are totally ready to sue and embarrass them if they do not return your money on account.
Don’t back down no matter what they say. They are more afraid of Miscavige than they are of you but they can be put on the RPF instantly if the self-appointed COB feels they have embarrassed the church. Let them know you are copying Tom Tobin and Tony Ortega on every one of their no-answer answers.

Adopt the attitude that this is not personal, it is only business and you are willing to do anything to insure that you get your money back. You can even say you realize that the church considers itself above the law and has undoubtedly bribed the IRS and the DOJ to get its way but they are highly vulnerable to the truth being spread widely on the Internet and to selected media connections.

Let them know that some independent blogs have greater readership than all the church websites combined. Every time they mistreat their public, the word goes out that the COS is doing something else that is criminal.

If the person is at all reasonable, you can say in a kindly fashion, “I’m out and you should be too! You seem to have too much integrity to be involved in this.”

As I have said elsewhere, these people are sitting on enormous withholds and are probably suffering more than you can imagine. Do not miss their withholds. Assume that they know and are hiding evidence of criminal activity regarding your account because if you have not had money debited illegally from your account, you are an exceptional case.

Stick with a Tone 40 attitude and enough ARC to get through to them. By that I mean matching tone levels will get more results than a sweetness and light approach. Be willing to grant beingness but continue to use unwavering intention.

The meeting I refer to is from the DOC letter where stated, “This requires coming into the church and doing the steps…”

Read the routing form again. Do you see anywhere that there is a time to meet with anyone important while doing the steps of the routing form?

You are being requested to submit yourself to a long and abusive registration cycle after a grueling ethics interview where they will attempt to get the names of all the people who helped you become an “SP”. If you have not learned this yet, you need to read some of my posts. Enter “routing form” in the Search bar on the lower right sidebar and you will get more than you need to deal with this situation.

Latest twist on “how can you tell when a sea org member is lying”? An “affidavit” shows up at the ABC News Desk saying ‘Miscavige never hit me’.

David,
Is Renata the ex you refer to?

Yes Renata and I parted amicably after I became a mission holder. That was 22 years ago.

As far as I know, she is still a loyal, indoctrinated church member. She did not want to listen to me when I told her several years ago that Heber had been in the hole for years.
