Including what we found in Scientology before it became a cult

Did Greta van Susteren’s head explode this week?

I watched Fox News Sunday this week and was surprised to find it was sponsored by an advertisement for the newly-opened film “The Master”.

The ad didn’t look very interesting except for the 3 seconds where someone was trying to convince The Master that “the will of one man is the basis of a cult”.

The official trailer for the film is on YouTube here. It’s much longer than the short advertisement than was on FNS this morning. The official teaser trailer for the film is on YouTube here.

The New York Post had its commentary on the opening of “The Master” here.

I couldn’t help but grin just a little when The Master describes himself: “I am a writer, a doctor, a nuclear physicist, a theoretical philosopher. But above all I am a man, just like you.”

After the ad was over, it occurred to me that the advertisement was on Fox News, the home enclave of the die-hard Miscavigeite, Greta van Susteren.

Greta and her husband have tried to keep a low profile regarding their involvement in Scientology Inc.

But the day will come when Greta won’t be able to dodge covering something like the FBI raid on the Gold Base and Miscavige doing a perp walk for the world’s media cameras.

She’ll have to decide if she’s going to keep trying to dodge the actual news about Miscavige and Scientology Inc. Or will she wholeheartedly embrace the facts she’s been not-ising for years and start reporting them?

I eagerly await the day.
